BSA Troop 285
Hello all,
I believe that the meeting went well on Monday. We are going to try something new next Monday. Scouts will rotate through skill stations designed to teach important Scout skills. Stations will have assigned leaders. Older Scouts should help younger Scouts.
7:00 – Opening – Fox Patrol
7:05-7:20 – Special presentation from Luke Lynch
7:20-7:35 – Skill Station #1 -Tenderfoot requirement 8, which is learning the EDGE method and applying it
7:35-7:50 – Skill Station #2 – Poisonous Plants and Basic First Aid. We will show the Scouts what will be needed in the personal first aid kit, as they have to assemble one and show one for themselves.
7:50-8:00 – Announcements and close by campfire.
Scouts should bring their Scout books if they want these requirements signed off. They will need to demonstrate their knowledge to an Adult.
Class B uniforms are fine for all remaining Fall meetings, as we are meeting outside. I look forward to meeting with you on Monday.
