Coffee Fundraiser

Hello Troop 285,

It’s time for our Fall coffee fundraiser! The same coffee varieties and options of whole bean and ground will be offered to keep it simple, especially for those hopeful repeat customers.

The cost of each bag is $15, $5 of which will go into your scout account for camps and High Adventure.

Sales will start October 23 and order forms will be due no later than Friday, November 3rd. All Money will be due by no later than Monday, November 13th. (I will be out of the country the week of the 6th so that’s why it’s so important to get the orders to me on the 3rd).

Printed flyers are available and a digital copy can be downloaded by clicking on the image below.

As for the order form, please only return a typed version so we don’t have to decipher handwriting. You can use a printed version for notes and to collect information in the field. Email me a digital Excel document with totals of each kind of bean, the grind type and the quantity of each. Please no scans or photos of your orders.

We take cash, checks made out to Troop 285 with “Coffee” on the memo line or you can except digital funds on your personal accounts such as Apple pay, Venmo, etc. and then write a check out to the Troop. (you are responsible for any processing fees).

Delivery should be in mid-November, hopefully before Thanksgiving.

Please email or text me if you have any questions or concerns.

Now let’s sell some beans!

Landon Boone,

Troop 285 Adult Quartermaster

Wurstfest Festival Fundraiser Opportunity

Every year Canyon Lake Lodge No. 1425, Ancient, Free & Accepted Masons, participates in the Annual Wurstfest Festival on the Wurstfest Grounds in Land Park, New Braunfels. The money we raise goes towards scholarships for our area high schools. The booth is staffed with volunteers from different Masonic groups, Boy Scouts of America, friends, and family.

This year the Festival runs from November 3rd to November 12th.

We have a booth, and we sell burgers, chicken, pork, shrimp, fries, onion rings and an assortment of other food items.

We are always looking for volunteers to work in the booth and we have a lot of shifts still unfilled that we would like to fill.

Please pass this on to your family and friends.

We will make donations to lodges and other organizations that volunteer (Based on the number of shifts and hours worked).

In the past we have had several lodges (and their family members), OES, DeMolay, and Boy Scouts volunteer and this year we are extending the invite to your lodges.

Below is the link to the online schedule. Most shifts are 4 to 5 hours long. Most of the positions are self-explanatory and we will be happy to answer any questions.

If you volunteer, we will provide with a ticket to the festival (before and/or after your shift you are welcome to stay and enjoy the festival).

Free parking and shuttles are provided for all volunteers, and we will feed you anything we sell including the best burger you will ever have!

Since we sell food, you will need to wear a ball cap and possibly a hair/beard net.

If you volunteer, please include Troop 285 after your name.

Thank you for your consideration and we hope we can help any lodge that is looking for fundraiser ideas and provide you with some great advice.
