as Colorado Bend State Park, Bend, Texas or Enchanted Rock State Natural Area,
Fredericksburg, Texas
- Caving and other adventure opportunities
- March: Spring Break Big Bend Adventure
- Intro to Troop 285 High Adventure
- Historical/geological education
- April: Guadalupe River State Park, Spring Branch, Texas

Richard Newberry Triathlon; Camp Fawcett, Barksdale, Texas
- Scouts try for their personal best in cycling, swimming and running

Most of these camps are coordinated by BSA, occastionally others are adventures completely planned by members of the Troop
